Position Summary (pay range $17.00 to $18.00, hourly).
The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records through cycle counting, verification of shipments, and investigation of discrepancies. This role ensures inventory accuracy by validating material against purchase orders, processing inventory adjustments and transfers, and maintaining proper documentation. The Inventory Control Clerk also provides backup support to the Purchasing Department as needed and plays a key role in maintaining inventory integrity, operational efficiency, and safety standards.

- Perform regular cycle counts of materials as scheduled and monitored by the Purchasing Department
- Verify incoming and existing inventory against purchase orders, packing slips, and related documentation
- Research inventory discrepancies and generate accurate inventory and rack-location reports
- Assist in determining root causes of inventory discrepancies and support implementation of corrective actions
- Measure, process, and label materials accurately, ensuring correct identification and traceability
- Examine materials for defects or damage and report findings to appropriate personnel
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to discrepancies, damaged material, and returned goods, including RMA paperwork
- Enter and update material transactions accurately in the computer system
- Maintain accurate and organized inventory records and reports
- Provide backup support to the Purchasing Department, including assisting with material ordering and related tasks as needed
- Always maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Education
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn inventory and ERP systems
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to perform varied tasks within the Purchasing and Inventory functions as needed
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse or operations environment
- Physical ability to squat, sit, stand, walk, and reach regularly throughout the workday
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
