Position Summary
Under general supervision, operate company trucks to deliver our products to customers.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
•Warehouse Driver (Non-CDL)
•Operate vehicle in compliance with all local, state, federal and company rules and in accordance with
generally accepted practices of safe driving.
•Safely load and unload cargo as required
•Maintain ELD logbook in accordance with DOT regulations
•Complete vehicle inspection reports
•Review shipping papers for nature of load and special handling requirements as necessary
•Check load on trailer to determine if it is properly secured and safe
•Wear safety equipment when handling materials.
•Maintain the truck in a clean, safe and positive work environment
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. •Have or be able to get a DOT Medical Card
•Be able to read, write and communicate in English effectively.
•Perform basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
•Read a tape measure. Be able to stand for extensive periods of time.
•Be able to bend over, reach upwards or outwards, twist, turn around and climb up and down.
Education
•High school diploma or equivalent
Experience/Skills/Abilities Required
•Clean MVR with no more than one major violation within the past 5 years
•Lift and carry heavy material up to 50lbs; climb on and off flat bed
•Preferably 3 years of experience driving
Work Environment/Physical Demands
•Most of your time will be spent driving and loading/unloading goods and materials
•Significant, lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; frequent stooping,kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling
•Generally, the job requires 50% driving, 30% walking, and 20% standing
•May be required to work in a variety of weather conditions
